Process Technician

Job summary
The Process Technician I is primarily responsible for disassembly, cleaning and preparing material handling equipment.The job requires supply clean IPA used for cleaning to various departments and maintaining disposable equipment inventory levels.The employee must understand and follow SOPs and work instructions, and maintain safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble material handling equipment in a thorough and timely manner.• Supply clean IPA used for cleaning to various departments.• Maintain disposable equipment inventory levels using the Kanban system.• Prepare and label solvent hazardous waste for disposal.• Follow procedures for safe handling of flammable solvents.• Understand and follow SOPs pertaining to your area.• Understand and follow Work Instructions pertaining to your area.• Maintain Safety, Quality, Productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency.• Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.• Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
Requirements
• Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent is required.• Less than two years of experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.• Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair (preferred).• Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs and 5S principles.• Medical Device manufacturing and clean room environment experience is desired.• Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills.• Flexible to change, and possess a high degree level of integrity and 'can do attitude'.• Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.• Able to convert units of measurement, add, subtract multiplication and division.• Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.• Proficient in basic hand tools i.e. adjustable wrench, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchet and sockets.
