ALL SWING SHIFTS COME WITH A $2.00 PREMIUM
Work schedules:
1st shift: M-TH 3:30 AM – 2:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM Monday to Friday
2nd shift: 2:30 PM -1:00 AM Monday to Thursday
Key Pre-requisites:
Same Pre- reqs as Tech 1 plus 400 OJT hours in X-ray (halfway point)
NDT Technician 2  Painting parts/Cutting Films
Perform non-destructive testing on a variety of sheet metal aircraft components.
Functions and Responsibilities:
• Process parts and interpret findings in accordance with Exotic and customer
specifications and requirements.
• Follow established NDT technique sheets and ensure any revisions to established
techniques meet Exotic and customer requirements.
• Support the NDT Technician 1 and provide assistance with inspection.
• Accurately document inspection findings.
• Create and revise NDT technique sheets per requirements.
• The ability to generate x-ray film for parts with simple and complex geometry.
• Detect faulty processes and bring them to the attention of the applicable NDT Tech or Supervisor.
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of NDT methods and techniques and propose
solutions to problems that impact productivity.
• Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices.
• Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered into manufacturing planning
(including correct quantities) and a paperless timecard system.
• Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings, and documents.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
• May demonstrate basic operations to others.
• Work under direct oversight in conventional X-rays and limited oversight in FPI.
Skills and Experience
• Certified in FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray Inspection.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and
sketches.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knows where to find this information at Exotic, and asks for help when necessary.
• Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
• Possess adequate knowledge of Exotic manufacturing and NDT processes to be able to
anticipate problems in order to implement effective and productive inspection techniques.
• General knowledge of welding and forming processes.
Job Requirements
