The “Manufacturing Engineering Energy System” is responsible for all parts in the HV and LV energy system, such as Thermal-Management System, HV-Battery and AC system. You will report to the Manager, Drive and Energy Systems.Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Your goal is to influence and improve technical concepts to achieve robust manufacturing conditions, implement manufacturing requirements and standards in technical concepts, validate manufacturing concepts and product design for high volume manufacturing.Collaborate with Process Planning, manufacturing, quality, production control, R&D engineering to provide product design and product concepts according to the needs of General Assembly and Battery Assembly.Use CAD-Data-Analysis, Simulations and virtual tests to identify risks for high volume manufacturing.Ensure that all products are designed to meet assembly requirements and that product design incorporates feasibility, buildability and ergonomics for high volume manufacturing with minimal rework in series production.Take responsibility for all communication between production, planning, manufacturing and engineering department as Single point of contact for all vehicle design / concept related topics.Use cross-departmental collaboration to meet and exceed company goals and objectives in manufacturing design.Coordinating activities within the team that outline and achieve project goals.Providing instruction and guidance about required techniques and regulations.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. The role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina, starting 2025. Until then, you will be required to be in the Detroit, MI area frequently. Applicants should expect the role to require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on the company's behalf.
