This position will report directly to the Vice President of Global Engineering. The individual will interface with the Global Vice President's staff, strategy and business development personnel, program directors, and others as needed to define the future state of Engineering. The future state definition will include necessary facilities, capital, IT, OH, process and tools required to efficiently execute engineering efforts for the next 5-10 years. A multiyear plan that supports expected program awards would be developed and managed to achieve the future state. This plan should be in sufficient detail to inform and influence future facilities, IT, OH, and tool budgets. Will focus on the future needs of Engineering for the future 5-10 year outlook. Responsible for coordination and execution of activities necessary to achieve the future outlook for Engineering. Will work on ways to increase facilities space and utilization. Will understand the long-term manpower profiles which will focus on new and evolving capabilities. Responsible for creating a plan for capital expenses and tooling budgets. Will create a plan for future IT infrastructure and program needs. Identify future process and tools that will be required to execute efficiently. Prepare and present materials for briefs with respect to the mentioned deliverables, status, budgets, risks, etc.. to engineering leadership and executive leadership. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / What you must have Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline required. MBA a plus. 10 years plus of work-related experience Strong Project Management experience needed for this role. Expert level in Microsoft Office suite applications. Be a self-starter and working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills and able to work with all levels of the organization and across functions. Organization will be essential due the volume of tasks and projects and being able to align with tight deadlines and lead times. Individual must be goal oriented and on team composition and execution. Strong background and understanding of product development, engineering processes and quality control. Additional Information This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance) Prior experience working on ground based Military Vehicles desired. Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Able to work overtime when required. Limited travel may be required.
