Assoc Dir Accounts Receivable

Job Description: Manages staff and operations of accounts receivable and collection units. Administers programs to ensure accurate and timely implementation of tuition and fees and application of financial aid to accounts in accordance with federal regulations. Oversees the management, development, testing, implementation and modification of automated systems related to accounts receivable functions; including the student information system, Perkins Loans, e-billing, and other related systems. Authorizes final release of invoices and statements; ensures accurate and timely preparation of tuition invoices, statements, and collections from students, third parties, financial aid, and businesses. Serves on various committees with authority to make decisions regarding accounts receivable and collections operations. Oversees training and communications regarding student account services, processes, and account activities. Serves as liaison to University departments to ensure appropriate application of Board of Trustees-approved tuition rates and relevant policies and procedures. Short Job Description: Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution. Five years' relevant experience. Professional accounting or financial experience in the following areas: accounts receivable, accounts payable/disbursements, cashiering, collections, and customer service.
